De-Shining webbing - DB13 Dodger

On my Blackjack I used Black Bird Netting ,available at Lowes , maybe Home Depot also. Use the same thing on my Hellbender. Zip tie Rafia to it as a base. Rafia cut in About 18" lengths and tied or zip tied in middle of a clump that will fit between thumb and pointer finger. Apply these like shingling a roof from bottom up. The netting is secured to deck via zip tying to a lenght of 5/16"bungee cord stretched around perimeter of cockpit combing and x,ed out across bow. During non hunting months the whole works simply came off and rolled up to store till following season. Simply cut the zip ties attaching it to bungee cord and leave the bungee in place. I also screwed down the little blk. nylon pad eyes along deck perimeter to run the bungee thru so no sag. Those can be purchased in bulk off amazon or Ebay as well as stretch cord. Has worked great for me.
 
Process pictures. I ended up spray painting the webbing. As you can see the grass is a mix of Blind Grass (had a bunch laying around from my previous blind) and raffia. I like the look of the two from a texture standpoint. I expect it'll match well with the freshwater tidal systems I hunt where there's a lot of different "grasses" growing. IMG_3540.JPEG
