Dear friends,
As many of you know, we lost a great friend and fellow waterfowler recently. Chuck Huff frequented this forum and several others over the years. A passionate waterfowler, he was also a great husband, father, and friend to anyone who welcomed it. He was also a devout Christian.
He left behind a wonderful wife in Lori, who together with Chuck, are the legal guardians of a 26 year old girl named Emily. Chuck and Lori have a 12 year old daughter named Madalynne, who loves her father dearly. She is so very fortunate to have such a family.
The harsh reality of a long term illness like Chuck's bile duct cancer has no doubt created some incredible medical bills. To ensure that Madalynne will have a strong chance at a good education, we are asking for you to consider participating in a live auction that will take place on the MLB site, beginning sometime in October when we have all the logistics worked out. So far, some wonderful people have emailed me with incredible offers of hand carved decoys, and hunting gear. For anyone who has admired the carving and painting of Bob Furia, Bob has tossed his hat into the ring, and will offer a bird.
If you are gifted with the ability to create decoys, paintings... if you have too much hunting gear and would like to donate some to a worthy cause, or if you are looking for some unique items to add to your collections, or as gifts for fellow waterfowlers, please consider participating.
My wife Elaine and I own a small company called The Mighty Layout Boys LLC. We have recently brought a new boat to market that we named after this great waterfowler. We call it the Chuck Huff MLBBSB. We will donate one of these boats, most likely offering it in a raffle with tickets sold.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you would like to help the cause for Madalynn, please feel free to email me at; mrongers@mightylayoutboys.com We sincerely appreciate it.
