December Workbench Thread *Happy Holidays*

Roy, get about twenty yards away and see what information remains on the body--If all gets too darkish, you probably need to make some adjustments.

Getting ready to listen to Verdikk and grind on fourteen mallars/blackduck heads this afternoon. Got a claaing black drake painted this morning. Will have to get pics to Ski to see if he might post up for the old leftie.

Tommy guns for some of my grandsons.

Lots of nice looking stuff this month, no doubt there will be lots of smiles Christmas morning!

Something I thought fit the spirit of the season. They can clip onto a branch or twig.

Needed a "Tub Toy" for my latest Grandson so I did a Can for him. I have done a TT for each of the Grandchildren. This is the last...number 5. I did the pink one for a friend that used to hunt with me. He wanted a TT for his Granddaughter plus a decoy from my rig that we had hunted with in the past. He swapped me a Fox Model B that he had but was not to attached to...I needed one for my SXS collection.

This is a Christmas BWT present for my Dad. He's the reason I have a shop and love to tinker with stuff. Decoys are just an addiction, so to pay him back for all these happy years, he'll have to have one of my decoys in his house:) Don't tell him it's his....

Paul Dobrosky I can't thank you enough for all the mentoring you have given me!!!

I decided to convert some herters foamers into an Eider rig. The drakes are super mag and the hens are mags. The hens only have the base coat and the drakes just need a little more work. Thanks to Bill Stahl and Dave Diefenderfer for the pictures. Finding overhead pics of Eiders was more challenging than I thought it would be.

Lately I've been working on a way to keep my diver decoys on their longline to speed up setting them and taking them up. I ended up using some scrap wood to make a few boxes that hold a dozen divers on their 100' longline along with their weights-so far it's worked great for keeping the decoys organized with no tangles in the mainline. This is a work in progress but so far it seems like it's working out!

Also I've been working on using up some magnum diver heads that a buddy gave me, so I made up a batch of 5 magnum foamer bluebills and redheads along with a few standards. Nothing close to the quality of work that the rest of you guys are doing but the divers don't seem to mind!
