We'll start with a minimum bid of $50, and minimum raise of $5. First auction for the Hooded Merganser will run from now through Friday May 24th at 9pm EDT.

We'll continue with a last call option where in if a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of prescribed bidding timeframe; bidding will continue and be extended an additional 5 minutes from the time the last bid posts. This will be repeated for any counter bids until a period of 5 minutes has elapsed without a bid.

The decoy will ship from UW-F or direct from the donor once confirmation of payment is received. You can pay by credit card, debit card, PayPal, or by check. Winner will be notified by email. All bids must include your full name and email address.

Decoy Donors, and winning bidders will all receive a one year Sponsor Membership to UW-F. We have more Decoy Auctions coming.

All proceeds go to fund the 2013 Florida Waterfowl Summit. The Florida Waterfowl Summit is a conference held each year in August by UW-F and the Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC). The goal is to educate ourselves and others regarding wetland restoration science, on the need for wetlands restoration in Florida, and provide a forum for discussion and partnership for wetland restoration projects. UW-F is a Life Sponsor Organization of Ducks Unlimited. This will be our 4th annual event.

First off, thanks to John for yielding on these auctions until I had a chance to catch up on the backlog of auctions for the Hillman Family.

If you aren't familiar with UW-F, take a look at what they do, their work doesn't just benefit the duck hunters in Florida. In my opinion, their habitat work benefits all waterfowler throughout the Atlantic flyway as well as the ecological impact benefitting all those in Florida. Florida has a diverse and fragile ecology, these guys have done a lot to help it, but there is much more to be done.

Check out this auction, and keep your eyes out for upcoming auctions, there are some great decoys to be had that benefits a worthwhile cause. It takes more than a donor and a high bidder to make these work, as much credit should go to all who bid these items up to find the true market value.

Best
Chuck
