I have two golden-eye decoys that were carved for this auction. I did one and another member of the Butler County Carving Club did the other. I need to do a little touch-up on the eyes on mine. I'll get pictures up this week.

I wanted to get this out in case there was someone who would want to pick it up at the Waterfowl Bootcamp coming up in a couple weeks.

I hope the long delay in getting this out does not cause confusion.

Not a problem Andrew. There are other decoys that need to be auctioned off as well and I need to get that going. Get me the pictures and description and I'll get them up.

This is black cork bird with an MLB poly head. I carved this last summer for the auction and was just too busy to get it done before hunting season started.

The block is an MLB kit. The oversized block was sealed with a polyurethane glue and cork dust paste. It is defininately a sturdy gunning bird. Weighted to self right. Painted in acrylics.

Comes rigged with a shrimp clip and a 3-4 foot dropper.

This is a golden eye carved from an MLB kit. It was done by a member of the carving club that I belong to. It is signed and dated on the underside of the tail board.

This is the first decoy done by the artist.

Geof; thats the coollist carved decoy I have seen so far.The only time I saw this was when a flock of saw bills landed into my spread and one drake rolled over on his side to scratch his head .COOL ,nice work ,wish I had that talent. The balanceing act to float the right-way looks as tho it could be a maine problem.HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Getting it balanced was a Trick! I would love to know how the decoy worked, if in fact it's been used.
Thanks for the encouraging works. Jeff Coats was kind enough to send me the photos to work from.
