Decoy donations for the Lee Harker Memorial Hunt...

Dear Brian,

What a wonderful offer! Yes, by all means, we would love to have one of your renderings to share with all the good people here and at the MLB site!

Lee was an admirer of fine knives. I know he'd be grateful.

God Bless you and yours, this Easter Season!

Guys - Your response for this has been outstanding! We appreciate your generosity. A decision has been made that all the proceeds from money raised at this hunt and any donations thereof to be put in a fund for Lee's grandson Blake for future hunting. This would be what Lee would be doing for Blake. We just want to carrying on the goodness Lee would have done for his family.

What I am asking of each carver is as he completes his decoy, to post up a picture of it for preview. If you need help with this, you can email your digital photos to Eric Patterson at michelleeric@bellsouth.net I am asking Eric to put a sticky on this so you don't have to hunt for it... If you are struggling for a species to do, the first duck Blake harvested with Lee was a mallard drake, banded no less!!

Again, we appreciate your generosity! Lee is smiling... Pat

I still owe Lee a fishing trip that he and Pete picked up in the Chuck Huff auction. Pete and I decided we'd take Blake sometime and let him fill in for Lee.

I'd like to donate a guided turkey hunt in Indiana or Michigan(one hunter, spring '10), goose hunt(for two)in Indiana, or a steelhead fishing trip(for two)in Michigan.

Well, either no one wants to be first, or everyone is an even bigger procrastinator than me, and therefore hasn't finished. Either way, here's my deek:

Cedar frame, Basswood head, oak keel, painted in oil. It's about 20% oversized.
