After recently starting my own collection, id like to pick up some decoy stands, the nice four legs that hold the decoy up, makes the birds look better and sit flat on the shelfs. I dont know who sells them, where to buy them or what color/ size? I wana make sure the keel has clearence and they balance nice. Can anyone help me here? I see oak color, white or acrylic, anyone post pictures of theirs? Idk which one to buy, or does anyone make them on here? Im not sure the size or height needed for the decoys, would like to buy a mix of sizes, thanks!

You can make them yourself for a few bucks each, just buy some wood, sandpaper, dowels, wood stain/paint and polyeurethane.

Pat Gregory makes a great stand using some square nails. I have seen some made with 12ga shells over some lag screws that were nice on a polished piece of wood.

Stevey - If you don't want to construct your own decoy stands, both wooden and acrylic stands are always available on e-bay at reasonable prices.

Ken Cole makes some nice aluminum ones. You can get ahold of him through the great lakes decoy association site.

I like to keep my art displays very fluid. I also have a cordura carrying nylon case to move displays from venue to venue

I have no drill press, table saw or anything like that, lol ebay here i come, thought maybe someone on here made somend i could support a member, are ood or acrylic better?

Use shaker pegs and a oak base. I bought the base at Home Depot in the area where trim and mill work is found for stair cases, etc.

Stand by, the photo did not load, I've got to resize it.[image]
