decoy strategies

how do you go about using the heroin decoy in your spread i have looked into buying them before and with the size of it and never hunting with someone who used one i was hesitent i have read of people using them. i thought of taking the clip on dove decoys and running them along the top of my blind like they are roosting there. i never tried it but i figured if the ducks see it they wont think so much about the giant pile of brush. i hate mondays!!!!

Re: confidence decoys...while hunting the shoreline marshes of northern Michigan, I like to use a Great Blue Heron along the shore. I also use 4 -6 geese and a couple seagulls spread out around my dabblers. The goose decoys gives any fliers something to see when I call to them. I always enjoy watching when a heron lands to kick out my decoy "hunting" his territory. A seagull also can be placed as a boundary marker of in-range/out-of-range for those not sure when to take 'em.
As a new member to this site, I sure enjoy your reads and pics. With close to 200" inches of snow already, it helps me get through the winter blahs. My wife just suggested I take a week and go somewhere warm to hunt ducks. Hmmmm, she must really love me, or has a boyfriend.
