you definitely had your own painting style.. now you've certainly added a one of a kind carving style. You've officially left your mark on the carving world. 50 years from now they'll be saying "yeah, he started the frond inspired style." Of course frond decoys have been around for years, but you are the first that i know of to transfer the idea to other mediums and it works well!
we all hope (at least my opinion) that one day people will be able to recognize our work as our own, and not just a copy of someone else's style. You have achieved this several times over, I hope I can do the same in my lifetime.
and i hope my ramblings make sense
