I am surprised that you are running trim tabs on your hull. Did you run this motor and hull originally, without hull tabs? I suspect the trimming of the motor will not have as much effect with the hull tabs, as trimming the motor will have with out hull tabs.
On a hull without trim tabs, trimming the motor will tend to raise the bow. I don't see this happening with hull tabs in place. I would expect and rise in the bow will be minimal at best. I might suggest removing or folding the hull tabs up vertical and then playing with the motor trim. You may want to try all possible combinations to get a good data base for future changes, such as prop pitch, motor height and trim position (both motor trim and hull tab trim).
Now keep in mind, I could be all wet. My experience with hull trim tabs is limited at best. So if I am way off base just ignore my comments. :>)
