DIY Dry Bags

They have some cool stuff. I have not bought anything from them.

Another source of materials and information is Seattle Fabrics. They have a DIY kit that comes with a copy of instructions from Sea Kayaker magazine.

Their shipping and handling policy for me in AK is a killer and I try to look for materials elsewhere. Quest outfitters may be tested out this winter if I have a project come up.

For my sheep hunt this year I have been lucky and hit some sales at REI for both Granite Gear Cuban fiber dry bags and Sea to Summit Sil-nylon dry bags. Rediculously light weight stuff these days.

They really do. The page on zippers alone is a bookmark for future reference. I see they even have waterproof zippers to go along with the waterproof heat sealable fabric - that would be my kind of dry bag.
