Dog Eye thing

My golden Ret developed a small bump some time ago (maybe a year back) and it didn't seem to be much of an issue.
Recently (in the last few weeks) I noticed it was getting a bit more pronounced and seemed to be something that he'd paw at a little from time to time.

I'm taking him into the vet, but figured one of you has already run across this and might be able to give me an idea of what it is in the mean time.

It is hard to get a good photo of it, but I got one where I took my thumb and applied stretching pressure towards his nose and the lump kind of folded out.

I am not sure if it is a lacrimal duct that has blocked up, or a wart or what....

Any ideas?

I do not know how to post the photo on here anymore, but here is the link to the photo

Good luck when you bring your pup to the vet, Todd. I hope that they can give you an easy answer and an easier fix! I wished that I had some advice.

Todd, it's hard to tell from the pic but I would get it checked out asap. That's not something I see very often and may warrant going to a dog opthomologist. I'm with the color, shape and location. It just looks like possible cancer, melanoma looking. Not trying to scare you but it concerns me.

Keep us informed.

It is also quite hard. It almost feels like a bb in there. I didn't want to push or poke at it, because it is in a very sensitive spot.... to the vet we go (after the holiday is done)
