Dolphins on the duck boat

Hi everyone.... had a question for you all. I currently run a Bob fricke sneak box with a 15 Mercury on it. Has anyone ever had any luck putting fins on the lower unit for a faster smoother ride.after I grassed my boat I lost a good amount of speed and I have gone as far as to go down a prop size but the boat dose not perform as well as it did without grass and cork decoys . Just want to know if anyone has used dolphins on their duck boat motor and what the advantages and disadvantages are....thanks
 
used one years ago on a small aluminum bass boat. Helped get on plane faster but did not help provide any hull speed.
 
Dolphin will only help to push the nose down and get the boat on plane from the sound of your situation you either need to trim the motor up to get the nose up to deduce added drag from extra weight , or go up in pitch on the prop. What happens when you are loaded with decoys and gear.
