Double shooters

I have been a pump shooter or semi-shooter my whole life. For the first time today I shouldered a s/s with live rounds and shot it. I missed the first bird off the thrower and then shot straight through on singles for a full box of shells without a miss. The gun was a CZ ringneck with 28" barrels and some aftermarket chokes that I have for my benelli. anyone here have any thoughts, issues or horror stories about cz ringneck shotguns? Might have to sell a couple toys to purchase one if I can get some good reviews from duck hunters.

I'm pretty sure the CZ are made in Turkey, I have a 12ga o/u DeHaan that I have been using for the past couple seasons that I love, it is also a Turkish made gun. My dad has a 16ga sxs DeHaan that is really nice too. I'm sure there are some Turkish guns out there that aren't that great, but I have been very happy with mine. I'm sure the CZ would serve you well and if it fits and you shoot it well... who cares if it doesn't say Beretta?!

CZ is a nationalized arms manufacturer in the Czech Republic. They've produced some pretty nice guns over the years. I've never shot a ringneck but have handled them and they are IMO one of the better looking and handling "cheap" doubles. The Ringnecks I have seen seemed a little light for 3" shells, but that a matter of personal taste. I've never noticed recoil when I was shooting at a duck.

my brother has a Huglu sxs which was purchased by CZ and he has been happy with it so far. Doesnt use it a ton though.

I have that exact gun. I shoot a case of shells through it a year and never have had a problem. A good buy for the money in my opinion.

Im sorry to say Im not a lover of cz weapons they are nasty and cheap, I once had a cz 9mm auto pistol and it was a right load of crap and ever since then I have kept away from the cz stuff.
Take care and God Bless

I will second that Biakels are a good buy for the money and has you say thay a built like a tank, I beleive they have now got a 3" auto on the market but I have,nt heard any reports to say how good they are and how they recycle.

They have been on the market for a long while supposed to be good also. I didnt buy one because it didnt feel right for me. Everyone that has one has talked good about them. I like shooting my sxs except the recoil. I have shot thousands of rounds in mine. I have switched to a beretta, and gas operation. Sorry sbe. John

I am not a fan of them from handling them in the store to reading expereinces online. I think you can spend the same money or little more and get into a quaility gun.

Tom,I had a Zabala sxs and I loved it,very tough gun, another option to look at,I had my barrel cut and choke tubes placed in it,many years of use and no problems, hope this helps Brian

I bought a 28 gauge CZ Ringneck a few years ago. I wanted to try a side by side without spending a ton of money, in case I didn't like it. Turned out that I liked the side by side too much and now own some "upgrades" as well, none of which shoot any better than the CZ. I've used it for a LOT of sporting clays, trap, and skeet shooting with no problems. It is my primary upland gun. I don't get that upset with a scratch or two on it. The one thing to consider with the CZ is that it is supposed to be stocked for rising targets (or so I'm told). I believe this as I found that I had to alter my sight picture on stations 3, 4, and 5 while skeet shooting to a point lower than normal below the clay. Overall, I've been quite happy with it.
