DRAKE LST Waders and Jackets

Spent a very uncomfortable afternoon hunting with my brand new Drake Equaders and Drake LST 3-N-1 jacket. Apparently, in removing the tags in my excitement to use them I missed the warning tag on the zipper of the jacket.

The tag was warning pacemaker wearers that the jacket's magnets would interrupt pacemaker function.

I've had a pacemaker since being diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome in 1993.

Well, I didn't see the warning tag, and spent one uncomfortable afternoon hunting trying to figure out why my pacer wouldn't stop firing.

The jacket and waders are of the UTMOST quality and were warm and dry. I'd inspected EVERY seam of both items and found zero issues. High quality, just expected. The 2.0 waders are far and away better than the original. Drake has obviously listened to the hunters' feedback from the field. Higher sides, more Velcro, better boots, better seams, and better clips on the boots. Very nice products.

Just don't wear them if you have a pacemaker.

I've contacted Drake to see how they'll handle their lack of warning prior to purchase. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Mike,

Wow, really strange that Drake would not have this info (about the pacemaker interference) in bold print anytime they mention the magnetic call pocket on their web page. I can understand your concern. I would think they owe you an apology and full refund (if desired) for not being forthright with this information prior to purchase.
