Draw knife and spoke shave

What are good options for a currently commercially available draw knife and spoke shave? Mid range price and quality. Bonus if they work on HD cork.

I’ve stuck with a stanley 151 and a fluxcut drawknife for a few years. I can’t say they’re better or worse than any others, but they were available.

On the spokeshave, its hard to beat an old Stanley 151, in my opinion, and they come up fairly frequently for not a lot. As mentioned previously, keep and eye on hyperkitten.com - it seems he has one or two every week or so (but they sell). Also check local flea markets, if you have any nearby - these things were very common. They're pretty easy to clean up and sharpen - this link may be helpful to you.

Keep in mind a draw knife needs a good edge or it will be frustrating to use. They are not what I call easy to sharpen. The link below is one of the better methods I've seen. I haven't tried it but believe it is a good way to do it.

I have thought about this. I have a hard time sharpening a pencil consistently. I use disposable blade on different knives regularly because of my ineptitude at sharpening items. It’s something to consider.
