Duck Boat Hull Question

If you were looking for a open water hull that is as seaworthy as the specialized duck boat hulls like a TDB or Bankes duck boat what would it be? Lund, Carolina Skiff, Sea Ark, etc?

I have a 16 foot Carolina Skiff center console, with a 40 hp Yamaha and we use it in Gardiner's and Peconic Bays as our tender when shooting sea ducks from layout boats. It has been a great platform for this, even in the choppy conditions which are so prevalent.

Bill, what hull do you have? I've been looking into getting a skiff. Your's flat bottom or V bow? Looking 18 to 20 so I can pull a few dredges. See any used? Want a work boat, not pretty.

Flat bottom. Used is really tough. I'll keep a look out though

I would kill for a Lund Alaskan. Use my 14' Lund for Casco Bay sea ducking. the 18 foot Alaskan would be awesome.
