Well, we cleaned up the cork blocks and shelved them for the year. I hope to be carving soon and have a few of my own ready for next season. These were carved by Jim Romig and Jim Higgins
My son and I loaded up the BBIII with our goose spread, 22 floaters and 24 shells. I was amazed that we got it all in and there was still room for the two of us VERY big boys
We headed to a little beach that the geese had been sunning on and met a friend that had parked nearby and walked in. When I scouted them during the week I could see that a few had a little something extra with them. I always keep my binos in the truck
We set out the spread and it wasnt long before the first group worked in. Splashed 2 and low and behold some jewelry... That turned out to be the only birds that worked within shooting range, so we packed her up, pulled all the grass off the boat and headed for our respective super bowl parties. Our first season had come to a close and without a doubt, my most rewarding.
