Duck season was "frozen out" early and my two boats are stored for the winter, but a new pup has taken up the slack.
Pounce just turned 6 months old and training is taking on a more formal approach. Fortunately, this year's December winter in northern Illinois has not begun to cover the ground with snow.
She's already into a stable sit which means I can walk out from the "line" and throw a mark. She'll sit until I release her.
I had a camera with me in a recent training session. During a setup of throwing walking singles, my Canon (with a telephoto lens) captured these two photos in "burst mode".....steady and intensity a split second apart. She's a "keeper"!
