I know what you mean about being out there. I've been out as many days and haven't fired my gun. Yesterday after work I paddled the kayak for 3 hours and didn't see a duck or goose anywhere. It won't be the first year the migration comes through after the season ends or more than likely I've just not been at the right place at the right time yet. It's always the goal to shot something but if it were mandatory I'd given this up a long time ago.
The holes are a plenty in the Mississippi River but even if you don't fine a hole just stand in one spot for a while and you'll make one. I eny people that have sandy bottoms to stand on when hunting. I'd like to try "Body Booting" hunting style if I could find a place where I didn't sink up to my....Holycow...I've got to get to a meeting!
