Yes it is. An even closer public area consisting of 235 acres mixed open ground, woodland and river bottom is only 1.25 miles from my door, if I follow a farm lane along the river. This is what is attractive about about an e-bike. Bike to my spot right from my door. Even the area you mentioned is only 8 miles from my door. Easy E-bike range, if I wish to risk interacting with traffic at O-dark-thirty in the morning. With that in mind, is somewhere like West Fork WMA off the Shell Rock River an option for deer hunting?
They used to make a cart that would attach to a normal bike.Yes it is. I do have a 100% pedal power, vintage (mid '80's era) mountain bike that I have used in the past. Just a few days ago, got the bike down from the rafters in my garage. The tires will hold air, but the shifters needed replaced. Yesterday, I put on new shifter assemblies, brake actuators, grips and all new cables. Ordered much brighter, rechargeable headlight and tail light. Also a new bike computer.
Riding my bicycle will allow me to get out to and on into the public spot nearest me. Yet will be little help getting an animal back out.
What a coincidence, I am on vacation this week too. Come to think of it, I was also on vacation last week.Currently I'm in Colorado on vacation
I have a "tag-a-long" from when I used to haul my daughters when they were youngsters. Very evident, the load increase, when it was attached. I doubt these tired bones are going to be pedaling any more load, than what my legs already carry. They used to make a cart that would attach to a normal bike.
I had one at one time, I would use for duck hunting a few spots. Can't remember who it was made by.
Would work great for carting a deer back out. Still a chore too doit with a petal bike. But better then dragging it.
