Ear muff for kids

I'd like to get my boys a set of ear muffs. I am looking for something that will let them hear normal discussion and not yell, but muffles shooting. They'll use them in the blind, in the field and at the range.

Any suggestions on good brands or brands to avoid?
Thanks!

Hank,
I have worn custom plugs for quite a few years now but this season I decided that the entire family needed hearing protection for the hunts. I ended up buying four sets of these and they have served us very well this season so far.

I have lent them to hunting buddies on hunts a few have complained that they were uncomfortable after some time but I have found if I take the time to adjust them at the start of the hunt they are very comfortable.

I have a similar set for my son. He has used them for years and will not hunt or shoot without them. My only recommendation is to get ones that take standard batteries. These have a way of being left on by a kid.

I shot 2-3 days a week for a long time. I tried muffs, but I have a high mount, hit the muffs with the stock.
Went with silicone custom and have worked well. Use one in the blind on the near ear. Use silicone and muffs for pistol.
Take my advise people as I have lost a lot of my hearing in my left ear [right handed] from shooting, chain saw etc. Take care of them... Make your kids also...
