Estuary

Is seems to me more like the moderators and/or their friends don't care for Dave and that's why it may have been removed. Either way, people aren't allowed to share their opinions? Isn't that what forums like these are for?

If I remember the thread in question, it had evolved into back and forth name calling before I quit reading it, after some good discussion about the boat.

The moderators here do a good job, and this stuff is their call.

I disagree with your conclusion the two name calling entries could have been deleted so we all could continue discussing the merits of a boat

OK--but it's the moderator's decision and I'm happy to leave it there. If you don't like it, it's easy enough to contact him directly.

Anybody looking for specs and photos of the Estuary can find them on this site here: http://duckboats.net.nmsrv.com/specs/sneak.html

Anyone looking for reviews can find plenty in the archives.

And I have no connection to the site except being a one-time donor and long-time member. I just appreciate what the moderators and host do to make this the best duck hunting site on the web.

Dick,

If you want to know about the [font=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica][font=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]Estuary simply hit the search function, 665 hits on this site alone. As a 17 year veteran of the site, please take my word for it, we don't need a rehash of a rehash, of emotional views. After you finish your research, free very free to ask specific questions on the boat and I suspect you will get factual responses from present and past Estuary owners.

I had started the thread and was getting some much needed advice. Believe me when i say i have used the search post a very lot... Sometimes its nice to get up to date info since we just had a new season and people have had new experiences with different boats. It really is to bad that people cannot just enjoy a thread and enjoy the sport of duck hunting. Each one has our own opinions. Does not make them right or wrong. But we all are doing what we want most and that is duck hunting and using different type of boats for what each one of us need. Sorry to see it got out of control. Takes away from the reason we are all here on this forum. But once again this is only "MY" opinion.

Dave doesn't produce the available 13 foot Estuary right now anyways...The photos of the 13 ft boat were in the Tuckerton Show photos from the last show. Produced by Duck Boss now..are we able to say that or is that "advertising"? This is a duck boat site where we discuss duck boats...no matter who made or makes them. If this policy has changed...I'd like to know about it.

Opinions are fine, horse pockey isn't. In fact, I got an email from David Clark thanking me for removing it.

Regards
Chuck

Just to elaborate, David told me via email that he now owns the molds to the Estuary again, but Tom Ayers (of the Duck Boss Boats) will be doing his fiberglass work, while David will be assembling the boats and will be on record through the USCG as the builder. If you want more info on new boats, I suggest google searching David Clark and get his phone number.

I truly believe that Tom will do a great job on the fiberglass, and I have never witnessed less than first class workmanship out of David's shop. Anyone wanting to have a discussion of the boat, it's usefulness, and comparisons to other boats can feel free. Anyone wanting to spread rumors, make insinuations or take cheap shots can go fly a kite. I have already privately apologized to Gary for removing the whole post, but frankly the horse pockey was so mixed in with the honest replies it was easier for me and my limited time to deal with this kind of nonsense to remove it, as I figured it could just be restarted and hopefully keep the nonsense to a minimum.

There is a nice estuary for sale on craigslist currently.

Price is decent.... Skip the motor though. 9.9 not enough to push that boat loaded.

I don't need another boat but I have always admired the estuaries. This thread however has reminded me that Dave Clarks shop is only a half mile from one of my sisters houses. Thinking I may have to stop by my sisters soon and take a little side trip. ;-)

I had listed a cell number for David that I recently got in another thread on spray dodgers. It was also deleted. Not sure why. If it is OK I will repost it here for anyone interested in the estuary or decoy bags which is why I got the number

Thanks

Dave is a good guy, and a funny guy. I am looking forward to seeing him in Ohio next month.
