Fiberglass resin question

Can you mix wood flour and chopped glass with fiberglass resin to make a paste similar to how we work with epoxy?

I don't know about mixing the two of them together, but I mix wood flour and other fillers in with fiberglass resin to make a nice paste/glue for gluing on the keels to my foam decoys. Works great.

In a word, Yes.

The same fillers used for epoxy will work for Poly Resin. In fact a lot of them were developed for poly resin,
and worked in epoxy.

I stopped by a friend/customer who works with fiberglass, he gave me a tub of resin thickened with fumed silca and I used that to fill a small gap in the layout, said to mix it 1.5% by weight, which without a scale is difficult, none of flashed over on me too quickly, but the first batch has not fully cured out yet, however the garage is only about 50 degrees right now.

It's good to have friends that know more than you do.
