Field and Stream article that might be of interest

A couple of weeks ago I was interviewed by a reporter on the current status of waterfowl survey programs. I thought the article might be of interest to folks here. The title wasn't my idea. Field and Stream Annual Survey
Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I'm afraid there are going to be lots of unintended consequences of current cost-cutting activities - regardless of whether I agree we need to lower government spending.

Whether you hate Trump or love him, he is the only president in my lifetime to address the national debt. My wife works for the state government and may very well lose her job so these cuts are hitting very close to home. I try to gently remind my wife of Proverbs 13:22: A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children. Sadly for future generations, debt will be their inheritance. Richard

Thank you for sharing the article. I wondered how F&W management would be impacted by the cost cutting. The loss of survey personnel is a scary unintended (hopefully) consequence for sportsmen. The antis will certainly latch onto this opportunity if a staffing solution isn't found.
