Filson Product Satisfaction

I thought you would all enjoy reading a short story of my recent dealings with Filson, since I know many of you enjoy their products as much as I do. I have purchased many Filson products over the years, and rely on my Wildfowl hat and Waterfowler sweater on every hunt to keep me warm and dry. Even my dog sports a leather collar that I purchased from Filson, which is the subject of this story. A few weeks ago his collar broke when he tried to take off while on his leash, pulling the "d-ring" right through the leather. The leather was well worn from a few years of constantly swimming in the water, rolling in the mud, and all the other rediculous things dogs do. It was clearly just time to replace the collar. So I stopped into the Filson store in Seattle to get another, and they said "oh, we'll just swap it out with a new one! It shouldnt have worn out!" I have always had wonderful luck with Filson's customer service, but this is above and beyond, in my opinion, the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Something to be said for customer service and companies that stand behind their products. Funny how most of them are not effected by a poor economy. So simple but seems so hard for some people to figure it out. Great story and thanks for sharing.

I also have several Filson products and have been delighted with them. Have not had the need to use there customer service but it seems that they have defined it just right. "Customer service isn't until the customer thinks so" Thanks for sharing your story and you can bet I will buy more Filsons.

I've worn there tin coats for years. I usually outgrow them (also known as getting fatter) before I wear them out.
