Filson waterfowl sweater

Look on Ebay. Folks still have some Made in the USA sweaters. I will no longer buy from Filson as long as they are making in China. I was disappointed when I visited the "factory" store this fall. I may be a lone voice, but I am not paying a premium to fill a communist coffer.

I haven't worn the Filson, but I do really like my Filson vest. I have a Cabelas WindSheer sweater... It looks very similiar, minus the canvas upper. I LOVE this sweater . I am warm in 20 degree temps with just the sweater on when putting on decoys... OK.. I have waders etc on.... :) but no coat. It onlky runs $100-$120 ...saw it on sale for $90 this year.

I'm with you on the Cabella's Wind sheer Phil. I've had mine for 5-6 years
and wouldn't be without one.
They also look great in the dinor after the hunt!! John

I never liked the bulky waterfowl hunting coats. I have had the LL Bean waterfowl sweater for about ten years. I bought an XXL and layer up underneath with wool underwear, a wool turtleneck and sometimes a fleece zip neck pullover. I am always warm and I do my hunting in the late season in SD, ND and MT.

I'm a fan of any wool product. I lust for the Filson sweater but am too cheap to buy it.

I have two LL Bean Commando sweaters. They're cheap ($49!!!). They're warm. And, they're easy to wash -- just throw'em in the machine on the handwash cycle and then dry on a flat surface. I wash them maybe twice a season.

I've handled the Bean Waterfowl sweater and will probably own one some day. But, I'll wait for the Commando sweaters to wear out first.

Yea I can't pull the trigger on a $220.00 sweater. The current sweaters are made in China? I guess your right they say imported. I can't say I'm surprised. I'd be hard press to find anything made in this country anymore huh? Still alot of the filson gear is made in the usa though like there coats, hats and such. I'll search ebay for a made in the us model. Thanks for the input all.

Greg
