final preparations are done, I think, almost, I hope I'm ready :>)

Boat, window and dog look great but do you have the TP packed yet? Don't forget the baby wipes too!

Brad,

Tp is always packed, but I only bring the baby wipes when Jeff Jacobs tags along!

Great work on all. I am in the same process at my house since the season opens next Saturday. Did my scouting in my sneak boat yesterday and have the site all figured out with sunrise direction, current, tide, and decoy placement. We had a hurricane several weeks back, so I checked the bottom for tree snags, holes, and to ensure the bottom was solid and wadable. My wife has me ripping out all the front bushes along the porch to relandscape the front yard. Thank God for a tow rope and a Jeep. Boat will be grassed this week and my youngest will start his days as a waterfowler by the weekend. Good luck to all.

Dave,

Ohhhhh...I don't do windows or vans!..hehe. I need to get with Dave and invite myself for hunt in the Shadylund! You planning any trips to the river this year?

Dave,

You might want to run a grassing seminar. That is awesome.

Great idea going with mixed grasses, it has never occurred to me to do that. I also like how you put grass into the boat handles.

I've installed vertical grass rails on my boat, so your methods would adapt well to what I hunt out of. Would you be willing to explain how you get your grass to stay in the rails.

Is it just that the pressure from the large amount of grass is enough to keep it in place when the boat's moving (along the water and along the highway) or have you affixed it to the rails in some manner? If so, I sure don't see it in the photos.

In any case, thanks for sharing those photos with us.
