fishing in rhode island

I am thinking of planning a family fishing vacation this summer to Rhode Isand . Anybody have any suggestions where to stay with good access to the water? Thank you very much. Jeff

I would look down near point judith
party boats around there and a ramp if you bring your own boat.

Point Judith is a good option, also suggest the Misquamicut area where ther would be more things (other than fishing) to do, and the charters in PJ are only a short drive away.

i know most of the good Charter Boat Captains out of Point Judith If thats what your looking for . The Big Guns over there are Capt. Andrew D'angelo- Maridee, Capt. Andy Ambrosia-Misty, Capt. Kelly Smith-C Devil, capt. John Renion- Lil Toot. Give one of these guys a call and you'll be in Diamonds. If its a head boat your looking for try the 7 B's or any of the Francis Fleet. Give Capt. Ben a call. He's a great guide for stripers.

He's down in the Westerly/Watch Hill area.

He caters to families and small groups. A much nicer experience then a part/head boat.
