My season in FL has come to an end once again, and as always, I miss it already. Despite a general lack of birds in my area, I still had some great hunts. I say it every year...I need to get better about taking pictures and documenting my time on the water...but here is a small taste of my season. I hope that these cooler temperatures push some new birds down for those of you who hunt the same areas and further south.
I always look forward to the prospect of a "unique" hunt or bird each season...on one of the areas I hunt, I've killed 19 different species of waterfowl over the years, including specks several seasons ago and a WW scoter last year. This year, my "unique" bird wasn't rare, but he was unique to me. I'm not usually one to shoot ruddy ducks, but when this one decoyed, I couldn't pass him up.
