Flack Jacket and fetch video

OK,

Kaden needs a floatcoat (I like the idea of one that has a handle) so I can hoist him up and into the bomber if he approaches from the side etc.

It is a long and awkward haul by the collar from pretty much any part of the boat if he is unable to get to the ladder at the stern.

I used to run a neoprene @ 3mm with float assist on the sides for Ol Alex, More to keep him from the windchill and protect his belly and chest from the beaver chew willow pungee sticks all over the river.

I saw a new vest at the store yesterday. It was a spun fabric, Kind of like a rivers west guide series jacket. It was more of a form fitting material than the neoprene, but didn't appear to have the suitcase handle.

Anyone out there have one of these new ones? if so, how do they hold up, does your dog seem comfortable in it?

Thanks,

Kaden

Here is the only thing I feel is wrong with the handles and is why I won't buy one. If the dog is swimming and gets something hung up in the handles, caught on a stump, or obstuction. How come you can't just grab the back of the vest, thats what i normally do. chris

Ill second both these coments by Chris and Jim, that is also why I would never put a coller on a dog for the same reason. As a kid I once watch a dog got hung up on a branch and drowned, it rearly got to me and I swore after seeing that, that I would never use a coller on a working dog and up to this day I have never have done.
Take care and God Bless
