Floating Decoy Contest - A Big Thank You

The Illinois Prarire Chapter of Delta Waterfowl hosted a Floating Decoy Contest this past Saturday. After the judging was complete and the ribbons awarded the decoys were auctioned to benefit several Children's Charities in Mclean Co. Illinois.

We had great representation from this site. We had entries from Bill Moore - NY; Brandon Yuchasz - the UP of Michigan, Chuck Broomell - PA, Jim Pierce - MD, Matt Speilman - IL, and Tom Modin - MO.

In total we were able to raise nearly $1000 to benefit these charities and sponsor outdoor activities such as youth fishing days and youth waterfowl hunts.

You guys are welcome. I missed this post the first time somehow. Hope the paint wasn't to wet when it was given to its new owner.

Funny you say that Chuck. I actually had a fellow come up to me at this event and ask about the Swans you made for me.

We had a lengthy discussion on Canvas birds.

Everyone that sees them asks about them.
