Flooding in Fargo

My Air Guard unit has been activated for flood duty in Fargo. The Red is supposed to reach record levels. Pray for the folks in the Red River valley that the sandbags are high enough and strong enough. The crest around 43' may last through next week. It is a mess up here.

Dwight - Prayers have been lifted up for the folks of Fargo and for safety for you and your Guard Unit. I appreciate all you're doing for these people in need. May God keep you safe and bless every last one of you in your service...

I was born in Fargo and grew up in Moorehead, MN across the river so I know what it can be like there in the spring. My prayers also go out to everyone involved. Wish I could get back there and throw some sandbags around.

I've been released from state active duty and will be heading back to Brookings on Friday. Some of the Army guard troops will be heading up to Grand Forks as the crest moves down stream. The folks in Fargo and Moorehead should be proud of themselves. The community pulled together in an impressive display of hard work and a great attitude. We worked alongside civilian volunteers, fire fighters, city public works employees, and police officers who had put in long shifts without a day off since the flood emergency was announced.
