It will be the first real Decoy Show in Florida (to my knowledge) where decoys will go in a pool to be judged. We’ll also have two People’s Choice categories to involve those attending.
We have tailored it small to start, certainly a humble beginning, nothing fancy, but it's designed to encourage carving and collecting in Florida and the Southeastern US. We want to start with a few main categories, and grow it from there in the years to come. It'll be nothing like the shows up north and west, but starting small is smart. United Waterfowlers - FL (UW-F) is sponsoring and running the show at the Old Florida Outdoor Festival in Apopka.
If anyone of you plans to be in Florida on Saturday, Feb. 8th, we still need two judges. I know its short notice, but it’s worth a try.
