foamers in the works

with your help i have been making some progress with these foamers. I can say already even though it takes more time I prefer cork. I no matter how many relief holes i put i the mold would continue to get voids. but the 50 degree weather here has been better for carving rather then hunting unfortunately. I am also working on a cork which looks like it will be my personal best. more pics to come thanks for reading

Make sure the holes are on the highest point. Hope you have better luck with the suc-duc style than I did.

Have you tried carving your own foamers yet Mike? I love it! I started out with a DU Bluebill mold and hated it. Now I'm carving the pink sheets with just a dremel and sandpaper with good results. It actually goes pretty quick once you get the hang of it.

They look good enouph for hunting birds to me.
Are those foam heads ?

yea i put the holes at the top still not perfect. i plan on a heavy keel so i have hope of that working. i didn't think it would matter much if i filled the suck duck hole. I've seen the pink foam method just haven't tried it i feel I'm a cork guy after this foam experience
