For duck hunting purists...

Come on ...... for $995.00 its a bargain!!!!! That has to be the most rediculous piece of crap I have ever seen someone try to peddle to duck hunters.

I have thought about a remote control boat under a goose decoy on those days when the birds want to raft up a few hundred yards out and won't give the decoys a look.... guess that might be considered harassing? ;)

Dave

My favorite part: "Eliminates wading and the ever present chance of getting wet on every retrieve and possibly ruining the hunt." God forbid.

Seems to hold the bird pretty well (in that little shopping basket) until instructed to "drop."

Any birds that thing could retrieve for me are the easy one's! I want to see that chase a cripple that is diving, or one that is up into the weeds! I can't believe they could actually sell that! And it takes up as much room in the boat if not more than a dog! And won't eat your lunch... what good is it?

While I do appreciate the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in items like this I wonder if anyone has actually bought one. Right now you can almost buy a sneakboat for that price. It does nothing for cripples, unless it has an optional remote gun... if so disregard all my comments as this would be the coolest thing ever. :)
It does have a nice camo job... one of the more important things now days.

Is the video working on that site or am I the only one not seeing it?

Tim

Thats the greatest thing ive ever seen. Try using it where i gun and youll never get a single bird. That thing would sink in about three seconds in some of the slop we gun

Ok Tod, I'm through riding the fence. That thing is nasty, and I'm shooting my buddy's spinner. Unless I get replaced by robohunter before I get the chance.

It's clever and in the right conditions I could see it working just fine. On the other hand, I kind of like getting ice water shaken in my face.......it kind of helps me wake up and focus. I guess this is for the hunter who has it all. Has anyone come up with the duck blind jacuzzi yet? I might start working on that.

The important thing is if it was made from "field bred" components with AKC or HRC titles, or is just the offshoot of some backyard tinkering.

Do they sell a neoprene vest with handles for it ???

Now that is funny Bob. No responsible duckboat retriever would use a product of backyard tinkering, no they have to be made of certified and proven parts.

I say we skip the whole nastiness of the duck hunting experience, just mount the shotgun on the boat, pull up to the flock and fire a broadside, then retrieve them, and with the additional stainless steel after market prop you can clean 'em, puree 'em and dispose of them too! No chance of getting wet, muddy, bloody or nasty. No germs, No muss and no fuss.

Tod and Larry J - thanks for the laughs....

It would certainly make my son want to hunt more with me on those "slow" days. Hell, I am sure that it will want to play fetch whenever "I" want....well as long as the batteries are charged.

$995.00 ......does it also come with a mask and toy gun, because someone is going to get robbed.

Now that is one of the greatest inventions I have seen in years. Just think of the advantages. No smelly stinky dog. One which sprays water all over you after a retrieve. No worry about pedigree or titles. Think about the time you will save training. Look at the money you will save on dog food after season. I could go on and on. Some of you are going to come into the modern age. After all would you give up your computer and write letters back and forth like the old days.

Get with it people..... This machine is the wave of the future. It just needs a few tweeks. Like a larger motor, weed eater propeller for the heavy stuff. perhaps a long tail. A goose decoy on top. I would prefer some tracks on it so it can go across land for upland bird hunting. We got engineers on this site could come up with a sniffer to find ducks in the thick stuff.... This machine has possibilities. It could be a real nasty nasty machine.

We have the technology just have to put it to work. I am going to put my spinning wing decoy on ebay and save my money. ( It's like new haven't used it in three years) Any one on the site has first dibs.

There's not telling how many of these devices have been sold to site members since posting. Hopefully, they'll give me a few stickers and let me be on their "Pro Staff".... that way I can buy one at 30% off listed price and impress all my hunting buddies.... "don't bring the dogs guys, they're too old school"
