That is really cool. Take a picture of it floating in a puddle and you might not be able to tell it's a mini.

That is funny I was talking to him at a show a few weeks back and he said he had somebody from Oklahoma ordered a sneakbox and he couldn't figure out how somebody from there would know him. I told him about this website and that his sneaboxes have been mentioned a few times and he said I guess that explains the calls from far away places over the last year or so...lol.

That is Funny. I did see His work in a Photo on this site. Could not find a way to contact him. Someone on here said to contact the Tuckerton Seaport museum. About two weeks later Fred called my work on a Saturday. I was off and the fellow he talked to didnt know anything. After another week We touched base. Fred asked what mini decoys I wanted. I said Mallards and Pintails. He was like what no Blacks. No blacks in Oklahoma. I am very Pleased. Thanks to this site and info from this site We made it happen.

I started carving a mini sneakbox over the winter it was gonna be a replica of my big sneakbox. It got set aside. Seeing that makes me wanna finish it. That is awesome looking.

On a side note: You East coast Duck Hunters dont know how lucky Yall are. Right in the middle of RICH waterfowling History. You talk ducks over here in Oklahoma. All you get is a bunch of tank jumpers talking about the time they pot shot 12 ducks in one shot.

I think he makes a 12" 15" and an 18"...the decoys he usually makes for the sneakbox mini up here are blacks, mallards, bluebills, common mergs, and brant...you get four with each box but you can get more for $5.00 each if I remember that price right. I bought a lifesize shovelor decoy from him at the show...I bought the mini sneakbox a few years ago with mallards and blacks....Dave

Neat boat for sure. I lived in NW Arkansas from 1984 to 1998. The few guys I talked duck hunting with called it tank hunting. I and one other group hunted a couple of coves on Beaver Lake. I found out the other group were transplants from Iowa. We were the only ones using decoys at the time. Any locals were all about dash-n-blast. Didn't know about Mack's Prairie Wings in those days. Had to order anything duck related. Never had many ducks but never got skunked either. In the early days I could pull up any time of morning and hunt where I wanted but by the early to mid 90's things had changed and it was a race to these areas. Ah the memories.

Rob,
That looks like a great place to store a tail feather from each bull sprig you shoot this year.

I'll second that! And another thing... most guys you run into around here have never heard of a sneakbox. And when I see you east coast guys selling your hunting rigs for prices that are sometimes in the hundreds of dollars.... (sigh), someday...

Nice boat! I agree with what ya'll are saying. I've quit trying to explain to other hunters at the boat ramp what the little pointy boat with the oar sticking out the stern is. Sounds like Texas is a lot like Oklahoma. If its not a blind covered in palm leaves or a stock tank, they just dont get it usually. But it is nice being the only sculler on the bay for sure.
