Friday Afternoon Adventures (Pic Heavy)

Due to hour cuts at the ole work place, Friday afternoons have been freed to roam the old stomping grounds of my youth - with my youth. My favorite “The Creek". The bends of the creek are still there and it has been more than a few years since they have been visited by me or any in my tribe. I still carry unblemished memories of this place. Most of them of my son T and I strollin’ its banks on most Sunday afternoons, when he was just a little crumb snatcher. And ever so often one of his sisters Z or K have been known to tag along with me on an outing, when they were snatchers themselves. Four wheeler rides, skipping rocks, tossing bumpers, catching craw-dads, and sunsets this place that my feet has been touching since I was 9 – 10 years old - is a Haven. It’s not wide and its deepest spot is maybe 4 feet… I don’t own the land it crosses, so it’s not a family thing that emotionally ties me to it. – Well…...hmmm.... then again…. I guess it is… sharing it with them when they were younger and now the newest snatcher, my brothers little boy "Bear" and the time away from it has brought to me a deeper appreciation for this crooked creek…. funny how Father-Time opens your eyes to silly things… Anyways, below are some highlights from the last 3 Friday afternoon adventures. - Vic
NOTE: not sure why the pic are so big... i copied/pasted the link of the pic from FB ... I wish they weren't so large, and hope you are able to see them with out it being a pain...

What better way to spend a furlough Friday than catching fish, goggle eyes bass at that. Neat stuff. We start furlough Fridays on July 13. I'm kind of liking the sound of having every Friday off until Sept 30. Of course the financial impacts aren't fun for a lot of families. Earlier this week I took Caroline on a flower picking session at the hunting property. Like your daughters, she had fun exploring and cutting wild flowers. Kids don't do enough of this kind of stuff anymore.

I Couldn't agree more Eric!

fHow did you teach that lab to retrieve fish? I've senn pictures of labs diving or putting there heads under but mine does neither

I agree with the others. This is a great thread, Victor. Looks like the family had fun. That picture of Lincoln with the fish will let you know that this was originally what the dog was bred to do in Canada. He is just helping out the fishermen!
Great photos.
