looking to put my fuel tank under the front deck of the sneakbox how far can I run the fuel line with out the motor having problems getting the fuel ? and where is the best place to get good fuel line ?

In my old salmon skiff, I used to run the fuel line 14 feet without a problem, and that was to feed an old 35 hp Johnson. You might want to prime the line a bit for the first use, but as long as the primer bulb is good, you should be fine at that distance.

I ran my fuel line about 10ft or so in my sneakbox. I put the bulb about 4ft from the tank and it worked fine. I saw a guy run about 25ft of gas line and used 2 bulbs to prime the line.

I have an estuary and put the tank as far up to the front as possible and I run the gas line in a pvc pipe in side the boat to protect it from getting crushed or punctures and then out the back in to the engine. The ball is 6 inches from the engine and I have no problems.

Put my tank in the bow of my Southbay and it works great. Had a friend use two bulbs and the one at the tank compressed. Try it on a trial run.
I used the same size line a factory spec.
