the spread with the king at the far left. we had a good day scratching out 11 birds dispite slight motor troubles and me trying to kill a bird with my fox double, which i did, it just happened to be a water swat on a crippled hen mallard that came out from the island behind us and hung out in the decoys until we got completely set up. "i swear officer its not a live decoy"

the professionals. suzette had a fancy for the king she couldnt keep here eyes off of him, even braking ice for him for most of the morning.

a beautiful bag of bull whistlers. the bay was freezing from inside out which seemed to keep the birds moving and hanging around the open water near us. the first flock of birds that decoyed were no less shy of 30 birds. and i would guess we saw maybe 2500 birds in the air during the course of the hunt. sorry mike no real cans anywheres to be seen.

what a hunt.

hey ed,

looks like a good hunt! Where in Vermont are you located? I'm coming out east just after the holidays to Vermont. I'll be in Rutland, and then further north.

chris i live in highgate which is at the further most part of vermont, put it this way i can see canada from my house. if you find lake champlain on a map go to missisquoi bay right to the us border then move your finger east just inland to us route 7 you'll find st armand rd just off of that and then compagne rd off of st armand and thats where i live. rutland is a tad far from me by about 2hours and 45 mins but if your anywheres near burlinton afterwards give me a hollar.

Very cool! Another DHBP hunt. Looks like you guys did well. 3 degrees...man I think Ole' Man River would be froze up solid here.

Take care,

Ed L.

I wish I was there! Nice snotcicles on the decoys there Ed. Looks like you guys were into them pretty good. I'm glad you had a good hunt.
