Folks
I am now gainfully unemployed after a wonderful career as a waterfowl biologist/ migratory bird manager. Now that I am free from the the shackles of Federal employment[] I am changing my user name to include my full last name because my opinions posted here can no longer be construed as possibly being the policy of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. If you don't like the bird hunting regulations in the future you can complain to someone else, cause they aren't my fault anymore. And those of you asked to participate in the wing or mail questionnaire surveys, you won't be getting mail with my name on it.
All kidding aside, I never thought 40 years ago as a college kid that I would achieve the positions I have as a waterfowl biologist serving the American public and waterfowl hunters across the country. Now on the eve of my retirement I am honored to say thank you for the opportunity to serve you all. It truly has been a great career. For the small subset of the waterfowl hunting community that participates on DHBP, you are the best. I hope you have a Happy New Year.
