I've been searching for clothing in my size all over the internet with darn little luck. I have two4xl Bob Allen wool sweaters from a company that went out of business this year; a 4xl Cabelas wool vest (not made anymore) and two American made Pendleton 4xl wool shirts (not made anymore). A 5xl Brushbuster Cabela's parka that is too long for wader use--can't afford a new wader-length at those prices. Every time I find something on that BigCamo site that looks promising it's out of stock. Nobody I can find sells zip front size 15 king-size waders (chest 58) and regular waders are almost impossible to cram my arthritic joints into. My physical therapist who is a rock climber recommended silk t-shirts to keep my aching traps and rotator cuffs (too much softball in my40s)warm and supple, and I can't find 4xl silk t shirts anywhere.
I'd like to get another couple wool shirts so I can put those in the drycleaners once a season and have fallback; another wool (or down--Cabela's doesn't do those anymore either) vest for the same reason. I can rotate the sweaters and my one pair of Codet 52 wool britches and size 54 Johnson Mills britches--expensive enough to be woven with gold thread, but bullet proof. Stormy Kromer came through with 73/4 wool hats, and I've got an Akubra slouch hat for rainstorms and to hide my glasses.
If anyone has a suggestion about where to find big men's wool, waders and silk shirts, I would appreciate a note.
The older I get the more layers I need...Thanks, Bill Burkett
