Gator Trax

I'm looking for some info about lmckin1800

If you know his real name, or maybe what flyway he's in we'd love to know a little more about him.

Guys (and gals) here are happy to help, we just want to know WHO we're helping!!

Thanks,

I have been looking at both the war eagle and the gator trax. Just wanting some info from both sides...Thanks for the help

i have a 15-42 war eagle with a 23hp long shaft mud buddy it does every duck related thing that i want to do. not the speed demond like the hyper but the price was way right so i couldent pass it up. the boat is great all welded and tough but has a lot of ribs on the bottom creating a suction in the mud when i " park" in the tules to set up and it some times takes a little effort to get it off but is usually not a big deal. have not seen any gator trax boats around to look at but have heard only good things.

hope it helps a little

If you go with the War Eagle and hunt big water, make sure you go with the high side tall transom model. I've seen the other with a 35 HS mounted on it and it was scary low in the water, especially at the transom. The Gator Trax boat with the hunt deck on the back is the ticket, and fast. I clocked one doing 34mph with 2 guys in it with the 45 HS.

don't plan on hunting big water in the gator trax, they are mud rigs, they handle the waves pretty good, but i wouldn't want to be stuck in anything over 2-3' in one. That said they are incredibly solid boats. pretty much indesctructible, but they are a true shallow water mud rig...

as for the wareagles, you have more flexibility in a Mod-V for the bigger water with still good capabilities in the mud. Plan on having the transom reinforced if you want to stick a big MM on it though. they exert differt angles of force and a boat built for an outboard is not designed with this in mind.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on using the boat for both hunting and fishing east texas lakes. I think I am going to go with the Gator 18*54 with the hunt deck and the 45 mm.

Thanks again for the info...
