Unfortunately, the python burrow up in a hole and can wait out a cold snap as long as its not too bad.
The only thing keeping them as far south as they are is winter temps.
 
I saw a few muttons swimming slow belly up. Didn't any dead snook down here. The day before the cold snap I saw a school of no exaggeration 50-75 snook all of decent size from 45in to 25in. Im outta Biscayne National Park.
 
The videos I’ve seen, they are belly up dead. My understanding is they don’t last long in torpor.

After this freeze, that might be tricky! Y'all seeing a die-off? I hear scattered reports around Tampa and south, in the shallow canals.
They have held strong down this way. Definitely slowed down but they're alive.
