glasses/contacts while hunting

I have been wearing glasses since 1956. Can't tell you how many times they have saved my eyes from serious injury while working, hunting (Grouse for Sure) & fishing.

Buy the BEST Titanium frames you can get, and Transition lenses. Also get a pair of Polaroids. They will be some of the best investments you will ever make.

They can put the bifocal where you prefer it, for the use you intend.

I can handle raindrops & foggin' up, but I can't imagine loosing my eyesight due to injury........

I favor glasses for much the same reason. Even if I didn't need them, I'd have a pair on whenever possible, I've been peppered by other hunters in big marshes when we didn't even know they were set up in the next creek over. If you give glasses a try, after you do a little shooting and see the burned powder and other junk that accumulates on them you'll appreciate the protection. Once I got used to having them coated with spray or a little rain, they made driving the boat in nasty weather less uncomfortable for me. Having said all that, I have to admit that there are times when the weather is just too crappy to wear them, but it is the exception rather than the rule.

Contacts... hands down. The best duck hunting is in the worst weather.... rain, snow, fog, etc, all things that cause glasses to get water drops on them and will interfere with your vision.

contacts are the way to go,,,glasses fog up, fall off, glare, make your brimmed hat fit funny, and the ducks will think you look like a nerd!

contacts are great when you get used to them,,Be careful if you happen to take even a glancing punch to the eye area contacts pop out and can be quite distracting,,otherwise consider lascik,,I hear its the way to go
