go-devil drive shaft problems

Ok, THIS is what I need. I finally found a good picture of a coupler/u-joint that looks like it will work. The link is from Nab's go-devil sales.

You can see how there is a big bolt that is used to clamp down the coupler onto the shaft. Also appears to be a large sqare headed bolt or set screw that attaches to the shaft. I'm assuming this is what go-devil uses from the factory? They won't sell me a u-joint unless I have serial number to verify I'm a go-devil owner.

Anyone know how/where to get one of these u-joints?

Jordan,

It's a modified steering shaft pinch bolt u-joint. They are available with splines, smooth bore hole and different shaft profiles. I'm guessing the square head set screw is added. The hole drilled though the set screw head with the wire is to keep the screw from backing out due to vibration. Take your picture and your shaft size to your local NAPA store. I'm sure they can get what you need.

Hope this helps.

Ed, you are the man. Thanks for sending me that link, I've been searching all over the internet for a few weeks now and couldn't find that. I don't think I was searching under the right name though. I actually called NAPA a few weeks ago and asked them about this kind of u-joint and they didn't know what i was talking about.

I'm going to call that company and check and see if they have the right shaft diameter.
