It's fine, I think the cammera angle is capturing the fabric "folds". I had to paint the tubing black because the fabric slides up every once in a while. The cover worked out great without any grass, but there was a color contrast between the deck and the door flaps-- only to the human eye, the goose didn't notice.
I'm adding a gun rack to the gunnels, so when I paddle (for instance chassing a cripple) it's not laying on the floor.
Ira sells both the cover and the cross member. I'm sad to say that I needed the "beefed" up cross member, the wooden one broke after I bragged how much weight I lost.

Ira, did I mount the botom tie downs for the door flaps correctly? I was going to make slits for the existing hardware but decided that this was good enough.
