Good Day On The Bay...

So... I signed up for a hunt with "Morton's Guide Service And Day Spa" today... there are two pics here... one was supposed to be of a magnificent sunrise, but the camera flash spoiled that... the flash also scared about 12 buffies into the air too.

We had a great time... my old dog made a decent shallow water retrieve today and as one can see, it's probably one of the finer retrieve action photos on any duck site today... (How the hell does Gary March shoot AAA photos and shoot birds at the same time ???)

The day was slow, but the divers put on a great show - tons of buffies, goldeneyes and two big squadrons of broadbills entertained us today. The brant came in in small groups... so the action was good.

Alas, my one and only local hunt this year and sadly, probably my last. Busy year this year.

HAHAHHA had a great time that day !!! Sunrise was just Steve has it , and finally great job Sunny!!!!

You need to understand something about Andrew , he is a very demanding indivisual , when i 1st hunted with him everything seemed relitively normal , he backed his boat in by himself , set his own decoys and so on and so forth , BUT the last 2 years have been HELL for me , he demands that i supply a Latte with every hunt , i have to load and unload ALL his gear and the list goes on , one year he had demanded a spa service while out hunting so this year i have decided to incorporate a day spa so he can sit in a warm comfortable place and only come out when the birds are committed ! I am a real traditional kind of hunter but all demands have really caused me alot anguish in the past, so next year i will be finding another partner that is far less demanding !!! We have a local guy that is always looking for somone to go with i have a call into him for this weekend we will see how he works out .

forgot to mention Andrew is errepalcable as a partner who else am i going find that will make me laugh when he missies those close in birds !!
 
Probably demands steak and eggs for breakfast in the blind....and a lunch of grilled salmon......plus all the lattes and other drinks....

The Bill??? 850 a day...plus expenses....

You haul a port-a-potty for him also (Charmin TP only)??

As for misses-----get a few blow up Deeks to substitute in the tail gate pic....a bit of fake blood...and a few chicken feathers here and there...he will never know he missed....

Morton complains... but he isn't nearly done with that Kara... we were supposed to be towing that out by Christmas.

How are/were the brant in Tuckerton this year? Can't think of a finer place to duck/brant hunt than Tuckerton NJ.
