Gorilla Glue

I have used Thickened Epoxy, titebond II, Weldwood, Liquid nails and 3m 5200 on different boats. I think that what is best depends on the type of boat and the expectations you have for the boat. Case in point is the strip canoe already mentioned. I built a Pirogue and had no intentions of it lasting more than a few years. I built it cheap used house paint and stored it outside and beat the crap out of it. after 4 years it got chopped up and went to the dump. I built a driftboat and used epoxy for everything and the boat is stored indoors and looks the same today as it did 10 years ago. As with any project cost and time are the big considerations. I use the least expensive option that will give the desired results.

I wouldn't use Gorilla Glue on a boat, or anything you really need to last.

Sums it up for me. If in an application where Titebond 2 is questionable, I use Epoxy or maybe 5200. I don't even mess with TB3, I just go right to the epoxy.
