Got any pictures of ducks in flight at a distance?

I'm doing a workshop for new hunters at the end of the month, and I want to use lots of "real life" type duck id situations. I've looked at hundreds of pics on the net, and haven't found pics like this to be as popular as close ups and in hand.

I like this one because the birds are back lit and out a ways. If you guys have a minute and something like that on file, post it up if you don't mind me using it. Early season pics would be more realistic for us up here. I want to challenge the guys at the course a bit.

Thanks,

Mike

Not sure they have blacks on the Yukon!?!??

Hey Mike,
I sent a few pics to your gmail address.
Lots more where those came from, so just let me know.

Yep, got em Nick. Perfect. More please!

Capt Brian I yoinked that one of the bluebills - awesome. No blacks around here though, and only one brant. I want to show how the birds look at 30 yds on a cloudy day so the guys focus on wing shape, neck length, and the black and white patches since we mostly shoot at brown and eclipse birds.

What new guys tell me confuses them, is that none of the birds they see look like the pictures in their DU calendar or field guides. You know how you can tell a pintail before legal light just because of the long neck, pointy tail, and wing shape? That's the kind of pics I need.

I'm told the most commonly mistaken birds are baby grebes (WTHeck?) , young loons (People think they are geese) and swans mistaken for snowgeese. Did that myself one time as a kid. No swans were harmed but I filled my hipwaders with icy water.

Thanks for taking the time to post all those fellas, I appreciate it.

Gotcha Mike.

Man, I have tons of shots like that! Well, used to have tons of shots like that. Unfortunately those are the ones I delete! Guess I never thought there would be a need for them, but I totally understand what you are trying to go for.

I'll see what else I can dig up.

Mike, about four years ago, I finished with my limit very early and used my Oly C140 to capture a flock of about 20 gadwalls that came into my honey hole. Hope these shots help.
